Every February 14, across the United States and in other places around the world, candy, flowers and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine.

· Love is more than a Word, it says so much. Thank you standing behind me in all that I do.

· Happy Valentine’s Day

· You unlock my heart

· Be my Valentine

· Sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eyes. I love You.

· You are my Destiny!

· A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous.

· You are unique and different for me.

· A simple act of love can make extraordinary things happen

· Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet and I really, really, really love you…

Ø Do you have a band-aid? Because I scraped my knee falling for you.

Ø Can I take your picture, because I want to show Santa Claus what I want for Christmas.

Ø Do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by again?

Ø "If I could re-arrange the alphabet, I'd put U and I together."

Ø "Did it hurt?" "Did what hurt?" "When you fell down out of heaven."

Ø If you were a burger at McDonald's, you'd be called McGorgeous!

Ø I may not be a genie, but I can make all your wishes come true

Ø I seem to have lost my telephone number, may I borrow yours?

Q: What did the boy octopus say to the girl octopus?A: Can I hold your hand, hand, hand, hand, hand, hand, hand, hand, hand, hand?

"Marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence. Second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience."

Approximately 141 million Valentine's Day cards are exchanged annually, making Valentine's Day the second most popular card-sending holiday after Christmas.

Valentine Superstitions

Hundreds of years ago in England, many children dressed up as adults on Valentine's Day. They went singing from home to home. One verse they sang was:

Good morning to you, valentine; Curl your locks as I do mine --- Two before and three behind. Good morning to you, valentine.

  • If an apple is cut in half, the number of seeds found inside the fruit will indicate the number of children that individual will have.
  • To be awoken by a kiss on Valentine's Day is considered lucky.
  • On Valentine's Day, the first guy's name you read in the paper or hear on the TV or radio will be the name of the man you will marry.
  • If you see a squirrel on Valentine's Day, you will marry a cheapskate who will hoard all your money.
  • If you see a goldfinch on Valentine's Day, you will marry a millionaire.
  • If you see a robin on Valentine's Day, you will marry a crime fighter - maybe they mean Batman!
  • If you see a flock of doves on Valentine's Day, you will have a happy, peaceful marriage.
  • If you find a glove on the road on Valentine's Day, your future beloved will have the other missing glove.

* Put on a nice dress and apply a bit of make up to enhance your features. It is important to look good when you ask out. Your chances of hearing a "yes sure" become brighter!

* Don't hesitate to make the first move. The guy you want to ask out may be genuinely interested in you. It could be that he is probably shy, or thinks that you are taken. If you are stuck in a scenario like this, there is no harm in being the first one to ask out.

* Don't ask him as if he is appearing for an interview. Just relax and let him relax as well. Strike a normal conversation and come to the point only when you think he is comfortable. Smile and make the atmosphere more relaxed and easy.

* Lastly, if you receive a ‘No’ as the answer, don’t loose your heart. There is always a next chance, so, keep your hopes alive. Continue to be friends with him and ask again when the time is right

* Relax and look confident (even if you are not!). No woman likes a man who stutters and stammers while asking her out on a date. Your confidence will most certainly impress her. She will think that you are a man who is so sure of himself.

* Do not push her if she is hesitant. You may blow off another chance that may be lurking in the corner. Patient wait as there is always a next chance. She will definitely say ‘yes’, once she has developed that confidence in you. Just that it may take some time!

* Do not hit on her directly. Don't ask, "Would you like to go out with me?" Any woman would be taken aback at this sudden remark and may back out, much to your dislike.

* Nothing is as bad as it looks. If she says ‘no’ this time, there is always a next time. So don't lose heart. Her ‘No’ shouldn't stop you from asking. You have to assure her that you are around and she can take her own sweet time. Strong decisions, as it as, are never taken impulsively.
